y00ts' reveal looks like a Rubik's Cube

It's been a long time since a series of 6 colors excited the whole planet. In my opinion, it dates back to the year 1980.

The NFT collection y00ts took the NFT space by storm today with an enigmatic new PFP - a mysterious 6-panel piece- and a quote by French impressionist painter Claude Monet. "Color is my daylong obsession, joy, and torment."

Torment it has been indeed in the past months for y00ts and their creator DeGods. One of the leading artists left the project, and fans have shown impatience. Y00ts is one of the most anticipated collections of the year, and let's say that speed-wise, the reveal hasn't broken any world records.

We have yet to hear from King Frank when the reveal will occur. Meanwhile, DeGods is tricking us before treating us by keeping the excitement at its maximum. Teasing the community, the team has published the cheapest trailer ever made, a 22-second clip mostly made of a black background with white fonts. I wonder what Monet would have thought of that.

A Guinness book world record for the Cryptopunks

The CryptoPunks NFT collection has entered the Guinness World Book of Records. Have you ever wondered if Guinness beer had something to do with the iconic franchise? They created it, and they've been separate entities since 2001.

So what's the world record?First, the encyclopedia introduces a new section titled "CryptoMania', in which bitcoin wins the "first decentralized crypto" world record.Cryptopunks wins the "most expensive NFT collectible" with item #5822, worth $23 million.

Everyone: "What's up with Beeple's $69M sale?"

Guinness: "Our definition of NFT collectibles is limited-edition sets of artwork built around pre-rendered templates."

Guinness: "We'll give Beeple the record for NFT most expensive artwork."

Everyone: "Phew."

So what other records are in there for NFTs?

  • First NFT

  • First tradable NFT

  • Most expensive NFT collectible

  • First Ethereum NFT

  • Highest floor price for an NFT collection

  • Most valuable sports club NFT

  • Most expensive NFT artwork (open-edition auction)

  • Highest transaction volume for an NFT collectible game

  • Most expensive NFT artwork (limited edition)

Now, here's the world record you don't want to hold.

Shooting Star 🌠

Richard is an artist born in Leeds, UK. In 2019, Richard created an audio project releasing ambient soundscapes titles, We are Not Cool. After he was introduced to a wide range of creative mediums such as art, graphic design, photography, audio production and film, Richard began to explore digital art, where he combined minimalism and graphic design with abstract art. This led to the creation of Bilnd, a a pseudonym he uses for digital art. In early 2020 he started committing pieces to the Blockchain, selling pieces as NFTs on Ethereum, Solana and Tezos.
