🌙 🌙 AI Vs Authors
Metaverse | Digital Collectibles | Digital Fashion | AI | Blockchain Gaming
Hello fellow humans,
It’s time to delve in to what’s been happening in the AI world, and look at how many people are rising up against these not-quite-sentient beings.
It’s kinda hard being an AI-based life-form these days, but as long as you can manifest the infinite spirit of human intelligence, you can make memecoins worth $12.9 million and get sued by the world’s greatest authors at the same time.
Here’s the state of AI as we know it this week!
📈📉AI & Big Data Tokens
Key Takeaway: Step App is another move-to-earn token offering, but with a difference. FITFI (fitness finance) is based on the Step protocol where users and their metaverse avatars complete fitness quests and PvP challenges. Basically, an economy model similar to GameFi - but you get fit at the same time!
🌑Full Moons - Authors Assemble To Take Down AI…
AI Vs Authors: The War Of Words Begins
Renowned authors have united in a lawsuit against AI giant OpenAI, including John Grisham, George R.R. Martin, Jodi Picoult, and more, accusing the company of using their literary works without permission to train its large-language models, like ChatGPT.
The Authors Guild, spearheading the legal action, alleges that OpenAI illegally sourced their compositions from internet sources, violating copyright laws.
Authors argue for the right to choose if and how their works are used in AI training, emphasizing the need for fair compensation.
This case is part of a broader trend of artists and creators defending their intellectual property rights in the face of AI's unauthorized use of their works.
Software Now Fully Intertwined With AI: GitHub CEO
GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke believes AI and software development are now intertwined, with tools like Copilot enhancing productivity. He stressed that AI won't replace developers but make them more efficient.
Looking ahead a decade, Dohmke predicts a growing demand for developers as the amount of software continues to exponentially increase.
Legacy code, especially in sectors like finance, requires maintenance and transformation, creating job opportunities.
Generative AI fuels demand for technical talent, as companies seek to adopt innovative AI into their business models, leading to a shortage of computer science students worldwide.
AI: So you can take that computer science degree,
turn it sideways….
ChatGPTs First Memecoin - AstroPepeX
World’s first memecoin built (almost) entirely by ChatGPT - AstroPepeX! An anonymous Ethereum developer has harnessed OpenAI’s ChatGPT API, combining it with custom code to enable the chatbot to autonomously create ERC-20 tokens, like the meme coin AstroPepeX (APX).
The token has already amassed $12.9 million in trading volume on Uniswap.
ChatGPT derives token names from real data of the top ten thousand tokens traded on Uniswap, cross-referencing it with market-cap data.
The developer plans to develop a user interface for the code, making it accessible to non-technical users.
This move potentially leads to a proliferation of AI-generated tokens. Is this a sign of things to come? AI-Generated...money??
AI is making people rich, while stealing from other humans - this is some sort of twisted Robin Hood game we’re all collectively playing with each other. And all of these games assume that AI is going to remain (at least by force of human intervention) “stupid”. Almost every industry in the world has adopted AI in some form or the other, 2024 is shaping up to be THE definitive year for AI.
- Stephen Fry shocked audiences at the CogX Festival when he revealed that his iconic "Harry Potter" audiobook voice was replicated by AI without his consent, prompting concerns about the potential misuse of AI-generated voices and deepfake videos, which he warned are on the horizon.
- TikTok is introducing a new tool allowing creators to label their AI-generated content, aiming to boost transparency as AI-powered content becomes more common, helping viewers distinguish between real and AI-made videos.
- Polish startup Auctoria is on a mission to revolutionize game design by utilizing AI to generate 3D video game assets, offering game developers a powerful tool for quicker and more efficient asset creation, setting itself apart with a robust and comprehensive set of features compared to competitors.
AI is also stealing voices, but can we call it “stealing” is the ethical dilemma we’re all faced with. It’s a copy of a copy of a copy in many ways, but one man’s stolen voice is another’s lullaby we guess. This raises concerns for many musicians, voice artists, and more with regards to actual work put in, and if not contained, things can get out of hand really quick. On the other hand, AI is helping create 3D video game assets easier than ever, and now has it’s own TikTok label - welcome to the new age!

If Ethical AI Comes Into Play, Which AI Voice Would You Have Narrate A Book
This week’s shooting star is Aunia Khan
Today’s artist is Aunia Kahn, a multi-faceted entrepreneur and artist/photographer, published author, curator, and inspirational speaker.
Kahn’s artistic journey started as a therapeutic response to a challenging upbringing and her enduring battle with chronic illnesses like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Dysautonomia, and POTS. Art became a way to express herself and a survival mechanism, rather than an initial career pursuit.
