Ordinal NFTs: Are Bitcoin NFTs the Hottest New Trend?

Bitcoin NFTs are trending, and Ordinals reign supreme!

The latest craze in the crypto world is all thanks to software engineer Casey Rodarmor and his revolutionary Ordinal protocol on the Bitcoin blockchain. This protocol allows users to break down a Bitcoin into tiny units called "sats" and inscribe each sat with data, creating NFTs on the Bitcoin blockchain.

Ordinal Punks are the new wave of Bitcoin NFTs, and they are already causing a stir. These 100-pixel digital avatars are inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain and tradeable as digital artifacts.

One Ordinal Punk sold for an eye-watering 9.6 BTC, but there's a catch, there isn't currently a marketplace to buy and sell these digital pieces.

So, how do you actually buy a Bitcoin NFT? Well, it's not for the faint-hearted. You need to download a Bitcoin compatible wallet, follow a detailed GitHub guide, run your own Bitcoin node, and inscribe an ordinal. Or, you could find an Ordinal owner and purchase it from them on the official Discord server.

This all sounds a bit sketchy, and it could be, as the sites and discords may be completely fake. So make sure you are doing your research.

So, do we love Ordinals? Well, the Ordinal protocol has received mixed reactions from the web3 community, with some Bitcoin maximalists claiming it goes against Bitcoin as a financial asset.

A waste of network space, or the next big thing? You decide.

BAYC Sewer Pass Holders Get Ready to Join Gary and ‘Lick the Toad’

Yes, we are still talking about BAYC and that sewer game. With such weird and wonderful ideas from the Yuga Labs ecosystem, can you blame us?

The next event in the Sewer Pass drama is named "Lick The Toad." This limited-time event is set to take place on February 22nd and is a mini-game in the Dookey Dash universe.

So, we've gone from monkey butts to toad licking. Seems legit.

Players will have the chance to capture toads with Gary and unlock a companion trait, with the top 500 scores (based on length of run, fragments collected, and objects bonked) receiving 500 of these traits.

Additionally, the top 2000 toad catchers will receive 2000 traits. This is also an opportunity for zero-point players to redeem themselves and enter the summoning event by scoring points in the game.

I have plenty of IRL toads in my garden, should I lick those?

So whether you're a seasoned player or a zero-pointer, this event provides a chance for everyone to get in on the action.

Get ready to put your tongue to the test and see if you have what it takes to become a toad-catching champion!
