Goblintown NFT Migrate Amid Rug Pull Rumors

Last week, the NFT world was rocked by Goblintown's middle finger debacle. Truth Labs, the company behind the project, decided to replace every NFT in the collection with an animated middle finger holding up even more middle fingers. Classy move.

They also included a message that read "Fuck royalties. Fuck supporting builders and creatives. Flipping is the heart of what web3 special. Honor the flipper, fuck the community. Long live the slow rug."

As you can imagine, this didn't go down too well with the wider Web3 community. Many holders were outraged and immediately sold their Goblintown NFTs. Some people even thought the entire collection had been burned. Meanwhile, others just found the tone of the message to be rather unpleasant.

To make matters worse, the project's floor price has already plummeted more than 95% since reaching an all-time high last year. Some critics felt that Truth Labs should have taken responsibility for failing to drive value to holders, rather than pointing fingers at flippers.

Still, Goblintown did eventually airdrop new matching NFTs to holders on the new contract. And while the contract migration may have been unpopular and poorly executed, it will give Truth Labs the funding they need to keep the project moving forward.

Goblintown may have flipped off their community, but at least they did it with style.

The GOAT of Web3, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), has achieved a major milestone by surpassing 1 million ETH in trading volume! That's $2.1 billion USD for those keeping score at home.

BAYC has become one of the most valuable NFT collections in the space, and its members are celebrating by creating new "Jimmyfied" edits.

BAYC has become a cultural phenomenon, attracting the attention of celebrities and high-profile investors. In fact, musician Post Malone spent $1.5 million on a Bored Ape NFT. That's right, $1.5 million for a digital monkey.

But seriously, the NFT market is maturing and becoming a legitimate asset class. As more people learn about NFTs, the demand for valuable collections like BAYC is expected to increase.
