MetaMask Empowers Users with NFT Features in Latest Update

MetaMask has introduced a new update that simplifies viewing and transferring non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Version 10.28 includes a dedicated NFT tab, simplified sending for ERC-721 NFTs, NFT auto-detection, and support for ERC-1155 transfers.

NFTs galore!

The update eliminates the need for users to rely on external platforms or interact with smart contracts to transfer their NFTs, making it possible to send NFTs directly from the MetaMask browser extension.

MetaMask plans to enable users to send ERC-1155 tokens within the extension soon.

The update positions MetaMask as a go-to solution for NFT collectors and enthusiasts and helps the wallet stay competitive with newer wallets and mobile alternatives.

Decentraland's MVFW Disappoints with 76% Drop in Attendance

Decentraland's Metaverse Virtual Fashion Week (MVFW) failed to attract users, with only 26,000 attendees compared to last year's 108,000 unique attendees, despite the participation of top brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, and Adidas.

Decentraland, with a $1 billion valuation, is not alone in its struggles as blockchain-powered games and platforms like The Sandbox, Alien Worlds, and Axie Infinity have also failed to attract and retain mainstream consumers.

Decentraland's gameplay, design, and reliability have all been criticized, and the total number of Decentraland landowners is low. Furthermore, Decentraland's native token, Mana, has also suffered in the bear market.

Decentraland must work on improving its platform if it hopes to attract and retain more users in the future.
