Dookey Dash Sewer Pass Claim is Now Live (following a short delay!)

Apes and Doggos rejoice - the Sewer Pass claim for BAYC's 'Dookey Dash' is now live! Every BAYC/MAYC holder can claim one pass up until February 8.

Slow down - there is no rush to get one as BAYC has assured us that there is no benefit to claiming. your pass early. However, they have announced that if you are the proud owner of a BAKC then you may want to bring your doggo along with you.

A Sewer Pass grants access to Yuga Labs’ Dookey Dash interactive skill-based mint. The air has been thick with anticipation these past few weeks as we have learned more about the Trial of Jimmy the Monkey, the key stuck in his butt, and the game that takes you on an adventure to retrieve the key from the monkey's nether regions.

Yes, we are a group of grown adults playing a game called 'dookey dash' to take a key from a monkey's butt. 2023 is going to be wild.

This Sewer Pass claim was not without it's hiccups. The claim was due to launch on Jan 17th, yet was pushed back to the 18th. The delay was very last minute, and due to 'unexpected bumps'. Still, the sewers are now smoothed over and the path is open!

This is a one-time claim, and only for BAYC, MAYC, and BAKC. But, if you are eager to chase a monkey through a sewer for a stinky key, you can pick up the pass on secondary!

The official Sewer Pass collection on OpenSea has already had 4,813 in total volume (the numbers are ticking over as I write). Tier 1 passes are going for around 1.17 ETH, Tier 2 - 1.6, Tier 3 - 2.4, and Tier 4- a HUGE 4.5 ETH.

So Apes and Ape fans - grab your pass, and get ready to pull a key from a monkey butt.

Yves Saint Laurent File Metaverse and NFT Trademark Applications

Folks and frens, hold onto your virtual wallets! Yves Saint Laurent, the French fashion powerhouse, has made a metaverse move by filing trademark applications for its iconic name and logo to be used in nfts and the metaverse.

From the trademark application, we can see that YSL is looking to create web3 makeup, skin care, and face care preparations. Then, these will, among other things, be available for use in virtual worlds and metaverses.

I hope my metaverse makeup skills are better than my IRL ones.

But it's not just virtual beauty products on offer, the trademark also includes downloadable multimedia files, authenticated by the use of NFTs, containing artwork, text, audio and video related to perfumery, toiletries, and cosmetics.

There is also mention of an online retail store featuring virtual goods!

Perhaps this is my chance at owning a YSL bag - even if it is virtual.

YSL is just the latest luxury brand to jump on the NFT and metaverse bandwagon, with companies like Mercedes Benz and Rolex filing similar trademarks in late 2022, and even celebrities like Kanye West and Christina Aguilera getting in on the action.

The future of fashion just got a whole lot more virtual. Catch me in my metaverse benz, with my metaverse makeup, holding my metaverse bag as I pull up to my meta-mansion.
