Cool Cats Football Club mints ahead of World Cup

Another ten days before the soccer planet goes bonkers over 64 games and 22 grown men running after a ball. Cool Cats, Animoca Brands, and One Football celebrates the event by releasing Cool Cats Football Club, a 4000-NFT collection on the Ethereum blockchain representing the 32 countries playing in the tournament. Maybe soccer would be more interesting to watch if cats played it. 

Cool Cats FC are dynamic NFTs and will evolve if the team you end up with advances to the final rounds (Round of 16, Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, Final, and ultimate Championship), unlocking eligibility for more rewards. What kind?

Game-worn and signed merchandise, once-in-a-lifetime IRL experiences, and digital collectibles. 5 lucky holders will receive the grand prize: a trip to Milan, Italy, and real-life experiences with the Milan AC. 

Why Italy? Because Cool Cats won't play soccer in Qatar in real life, and neither will the Azzurris, Italy's national soccer team. That's my best guess, anyway.

When it rains, it pours. SBF's now ex-CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has made more enemies on the planet in 36 hours than any soccer player scoring an own goal in a World Cup tournament. 

You thought you'd seen it all? Well, this ain't over; there are extra scenes after the end credit. 

FTX is allegedly using NFTs to bypass withdrawal blocks for elite users. You have to admit, the man warned us. 

He didn't say which users, right? Twitter user Cobie found that one particular address withdrew $21m of Tether from FTX and transferred it to another address. Pursuing his investigation, he found numerous transactions on a single FTX NFT amounting to $5M. 

Still on Twitter (Hi Elon!), someone bragged about having recuperated their tokens from FTX, whereas withdrawals are supposedly blocked.

Could it be possibly considered fraud and/or money laundering?FTX customers impacted by this week's roller-coaster ride have their opinion. They don't like the movie or its bonuses.
