Logan Paul Hit With Lawsuit Over CryptoZoo 'rug pull'
We are once again here to spill the CryptoZoo tea, and boy is it HOT.
Following the CryptoZoo circus of the past few months of the Coffeezilla expose, rug pull allegations, and holder refunds, there has now been a new development in the saga.
Logan Paul is facing a class-action lawsuit.
The lawsuit alleges that Logan and his team scammed the community into buying an imaginary game and took the funds directly to their own wallets.
We have heard all of this before, from investigative journalist and fellow YouTuber Coffeezilla. But this time, it's serious. The lawsuit named Logan's assistant Danielle Strobel, manager Jeff Levin, lead developer Ebbie Ibanez, co-founder Jake Greenbaum aka Crypto King and others.
The short version: It accuses them of engaging in fraud and misusing their influence to steal money from their community.
Remember: what happens on the blockchain, stays on the blockchain.
We will be following this story and watching what happens closely. Now for some parting words, directly from the lawsuit filing:
“The wrong done to Plaintiff by Defendants was attended by fraudulent, malicious, intentional, willful, wanton, or reckless conduct that evidenced a conscious disregard for Plaintiff’s rights. Therefore, Plaintiff seeks punitive damages in an amount to be proven at trial.”.
Satvik Sethi Leaves Mastercard NFT Due to “Harassment” and “Distress”
The tea is still hot - this time instead of lawsuits, it's a mic-dropping resignation. The former NFT Product Lead at Mastercard, Satvik Sethi, announced his resignation in a Twitter thread that's left a lot of people scratching their heads.
Satvik claimed he was the victim of "harassment & emotional distress caused by a series of mismanaged processes, miscommunication, internal inefficiency".
Yep. He woke up and chose violence.
The former Mastercard employee went in hard with the accusations. According to Sethi, the above mentioned mismanagement and miscommunication resulted in months without pay and a 40% salary cut (!!!). The single-income immigrant also revealed that Mastercard had blocked his accounts after he threatened to expose their practices. To top it all off, Satvik announced that he was losing his London visa and must return to India.
So, in an attempt to make ends meet, Sethi launched an NFT resignation letter titled “NEW BEGINNINGS” and is asking for the community’s support to mint the open-edition NFT for 0.023 ETH per piece, with all proceeds going to his survival.
This decision to mint his resignation letter left the NFT community split on their reaction to the situation. While some showed support, others were suspicious and felt there was likely another side to the story - as yet there is no evidence to back up the claims.
One user even said that it "sounds weird from a Fortune 500 company". As of now, neither Sethi nor Mastercard have commented on the matter, leaving the community in suspense.
Web3 drama - keeping the tea piping hot, always.
