Logan Paul's CryptoZoo NFT Game Accused Of Being A Scam: What Happened?

Logan Paul is no stranger to controversy. Now, he has brought his trail of drama to the blockchain, with his NFT game CryptoZoo accused of being a scam.

I mean, is anyone really surprised?

The game - which sees players buy zoo coins to spend on NFT eggs which hatch into animals- has already been called out. Specifically for failed mint transactions, minting bots, and the use of Photoshop stock images.

Now, new controversy has emerged, as YouTuber 'Coffeezilla' alleges that the game itself was never even playable. Coffeezilla says that despite users spending half a million US dollars in the game, AND the native token – the zoo coin – reaching a market cap of over 2 billion dollars pre-launch, CryptoZoo has actually never been in a playable state.

One CryptoZoo victim named ‘Helicopter Bob’ has revealed that you cannot retrieve your zoo coin yield. According to this HB, yield did not work on the day of launch. It still does not work to this day.

So what has Logan had to say for himself? He blames someone else, of course. Logan Paul claims that a developer held the gaming code hostage for $1 million dollar ransom. So, of course, Coffeezilla put his detective trench coat on and investigated this claim. He reached out to the dev. This dev doesn't deny taking the code, but says it was due to the dev team being owed money by Logan Paul for their work on the game.

Logan says that this is fake news. Supposedly, he will reveal all in the next episode of ‘Impaulsive’, due on January third. He promises that ‘bad actors will be exposed, explained, and held fully accountable’.

We can't wait to see how he gets his way out of this one.

Trump NFT Collection Plummets in Value: -80% in just 2 weeks!

Well well well. The Trump NFT collection has lost 80% of it's value in 2 weeks.

Yep - the controversial TrumpCards NFT collection, by the former President, which has already had rumour of stolen artwork, has seen its value plummet?

Who could have predicted this!?

The collection shot to popularity last month, selling out within 24 hours of launch. The former US President raked in over $4.5 million in sales volume!

On December 18th, there were 6661 sales with an average price of 0.41 ETH, bringing in a HUGE 2752 ETH sales volume. Now, 2 weeks and 1 day later on Jan 2nd, there were 100 sales at 0.26 ETH, bringing in 26 ETH total volume.

TL;DR - from 6000+ sales to only 100 sales.

*Siri, play 'whomp-whomp' noise*

So the question still remains - what happened!? Well, firstly, it could just be that the NFT market, particularly those related to political figures, is still relatively new and unpredictable. The experienced among us will know all about the market fluctuations. The same can be said about the overall state of the cryptocurrency market.

However, there were also many rumours circulating after the launch of Trumps' NFT. A Discord Security Auditor who goes by the name 'Plum' on Twitter alleged that the team behind TrumpCards already had one failed project under their belt - PlanetSly. Apparently the artist and team for PlanetSly and TrumpCards were the exact same, but after the launch of TrumpCards, the project team's socials were 'scrubbed clean'.

Then, there were accusations of using copyrighted images, 'borrowed' from across the internet, and some even had partial watermarks still on them!

So - is the drastic drop in value simply due to market conditions, or, was this caused by rumours of scams and copyright infringement?
