Kevin Rose Cancels PROOF of Conference: What Happened?
The highly-anticipated PROOF of conference has been canceled and it seems like nobody is sure what actually happened. Did the Moonbirds and Oddities NFT creators just not get enough interest in their event, or is something else at play?
According to co-founder Kevin Rose's Twitter statement, recent sales data and conversations with the community members have led the team to lose confidence in the event. Apparently, they just couldn't generate enough interest to make it worthwhile.

The news has left the community members feeling confused and disappointed. Many had minted NFTs in order to gain access to the event.
On the plus side, they can get a refund for all flights, hotels, and minted tickets, including transaction fees. But for those who didn't purchase a ticket or arranged transportation after the cancellation, they're out of luck.
The PROOF team has promised to hold smaller events for their community members in the future. PROOF have expressed their apologies for the disappointment and inconvenience caused to those who were hoping to attend.

Non-Fungible Conference (NFC) and bem.builders have announced the launch of a 24-week-long alternate reality game called “The Lost Wallet”.
Players have a chance to win a CryptoPunk worth €120,000! The game spans across multiple Web3 spaces and partner brands, including Discord groups, metaverses, and dedicated platforms from various partner brands. Some of the worlds confirmed include SPATIAL, w3rlds (Exclusive), Decentraland, OVER, R3V3NGE, and The Sandbox.
Use the cryptic Twitter account (@The_Lost_Wallet) as a guide. The game is built around a story divided into 24 quests. The final task unlocks the highly coveted CryptoPunk for the winner.
It's like a complete speed run through the multi-metaverse!
Join the quest to find the lost digital wallet and discover a world of surprises, including NFTs by artists, partner collections, digital clothing, 3D houses, and other assets up for grabs.
With the first quest still available until March 1st, and a new quest revealed every week until mid-August, it's not too late to jump in and play!
