There May Be A CryptoPunk Purge In The Near Future
Over the weekend, a popular CryptoPunk NFT vanished from the Ethereum blockchain forever, leaving fans puzzled. The coveted CryptoPunk #8611 was sold for a hefty sum of 54.49 Ethereum (about $95,000), only to be mysteriously burned later that day.

The culprits behind this act are the Bitcoin Bandits, associated with the pixelated PFP assets of the Bitcoin Ordinals project.
Led by Nathan Stein, the group convinced around 150 members to contribute financially to acquire the NFT. After burning it, they inscribed it onto "satoshi," the smallest unit of Bitcoin, using a process called teleburning. This practice aims to shift the value of NFTs towards the Bitcoin community.
Is This An Act Of War? Is This A Publicity Stunt? Is This Real?
However, it raises concerns for NFT collectors, as the scarcity of collectibles increases with each burned digital asset.
In response, Ethscriptions have emerged as an alternative, allowing users to inscribe assets within the Ethereum network. The success of Ethscriptions in comparison to Bitcoin Ordinals remains to be seen.
Atomic Ordinals Are Making Bitcoin Blue-Chip History
Web3 luminary Elena is set to launch an exciting Ordinals collection known as Atomordinals. This NFT project has generated immense buzz, with a current Genesis bid of 0.4469 BTC, making it the most anticipated Ordinal mint of the month.
Elena's diverse background, including medicine, art, education, and emerging tech, culminates in Atomordinals. This Genesis Art Collection aims to convey Elena's vision of a prosperous crypto world. Each of the 250 hand-crafted pieces is inscribed on rare Bitcoin Sats, ensuring their historical value and uniqueness.
The initial announcement has garnered remarkable attention, with 528K views and over 16,000 organic followers on Atomordinals' Twitter page. The collection's centerpiece, the symbolic "Heart of Genesis," is inscribed on a Block 9 sat mined by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009, adding historical significance.
Interested collectors can participate in the ongoing Heart of Genesis auction on NeoSwap AI. The top bidders and auction winner will gain whitelist access for the main mint, with only 200 NFTs available.
To join the Atomordinals community, follow them on Twitter, participate in quests, and contribute to the collective journey.
