• The case began when Epic sued Apple in 2020 over App Store policies and high commissions. (plot thickens)

• Though Epic's antitrust claims were dismissed, Apple was found to breach California's competition laws by restricting alternate payment methods. (nothing changes)

An injunction required Apple to let developers use external payment links. The injunction's suspension was upheld by the Supreme Court, which has implications for NFTs and Web3.

Apple's rules hinder NFT gaming growth, but a ruling favoring Epic might enable linking to external NFT platforms, bypassing Apple's fees. (TL;DR: Apple wants all your money…all of it.)
