Soulja Boy Rugs Three NFT Drops in One Week!
Rapper Soulja Boy has found a new hobby – rugging NFT projects! Yes, you read that right. He has become the first musician to rug not one, not two, but three consecutive NFT projects.
Move over Picasso, we have a new artist in town.
Even being charged by the SEC last month for promoting cryptocurrencies without disclosure couldn't stop Soulja Boy's NFTs from selling out in a few hours.
But the drama didn't end there. It turns out that his limited edition 3D NFT collection blatantly ripped off the Ferrari logo in its artwork. Oh boy, it looks like Soulja Boy is not just a rapper but a master of disguise as well – he can make Ferrari designs disappear in plain sight! No wonder the collection was delisted from OpenSea.
Not to be deterred by this setback, Soulja Boy came back with another NFT project called “Soulja Boy Pixel Art”. It features the rapper's face in a stylized, pixelated aesthetic over different backgrounds.
This situation raises some serious questions about the ethics of founders and collectors in the web3 space. Should banned founders be allowed to sell their NFTs on platforms like OpenSea, even if they rug their community or participate in illegal shilling?
NFT Racing Game Acquires ‘The Fast and the Furious’ Writer
David Ayer, the mastermind behind "The Fast and the Furious" franchise, is revving his engines and Tokyo-drifting straight into Web3 with an NFT racing game.
Partnering with Feature.io, an NFT-focused technology platform, Ayer is set to deliver an immersive car-racing experience that combines "elements of episodic streaming, gaming, and professional sports." Sounds like a winning recipe for excitement and entertainment, right?
The game - named 'Lollipop' - will be built on Unreal Engine 5, promising high-octane action, explosive crashes, and epic stunts that'll make you want to shout "yee-haw!" from the top of your lungs. Well, maybe not if you're playing in a public place, but you get the idea.
According to Ayer, "Blockchain gaming is the perfect opportunity to explore new forms of storytelling and entertainment." And who better to tell a story about fast cars, daring drivers, and crazy stunts than the guy who wrote "Training Day" and "End of Watch"?
But let's not forget the most important part: NFTs or digital collectibles, whatever you want to call them. The game will undoubtedly feature plenty of collectible items that players can trade, buy, and sell on Polygon's Ethereum-scaling solution.
Dom Toretto, the protagonist of “The Fast and the Furious” franchise, once said, “I don’t have friends, I have family.” By bringing David Ayer into Web3, it feels like our family just became a little bit stronger.
