Pro NFT traders got a new marketplace with Blur

Blur.io NFT marketplace launched yesterday and is claiming to be the fastest of all NFT marketplaces. Airdrops of $BLUR tokens were also announced to encourage traders to list their NFTs. Music to some people's ears. Not from the British rock band.

Free tokens are arguably the best strategy to gain users and democratize the tool. You'll be eligible to airdrop 1 -ending in 12 days- if you've traded NFTs within the past 6 months. And if you list NFTs on the Blur marketplace, you will be eligible for airdrop 2, due next month. If eligible, you'll get "crates" containing an undisclosed amount of $BLUR. The token will launch in January, and your crate's content revealed. A pretty good marketing strategy to bring attention to the tool and tease users.

Yet another Brit song aired yesterday: "Should I stay or should I go?"The community loved the interface, got their crates, and listed their NFTs. However, they were concerned that Beanie, aka beaniemaxi, made a negligible investment early in the project. Even though Blur appears to be backed by credible stakeholders and has raised an $11 million seed round led by Paradigm, NFT owners and traders can easily become suspicious when their most precious goods are being traded.

Warner Bros. becomes the first studio to release a film as an NFT

And what better film than "Lord of the Rings", one of the highest-grossing franchises of all time, with a huge and deeply engaged fanbase?

"The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings" 2001 movie was just relaunched simultaneously with the Warner Movieverse, where films will be released as NFTs, forming a "Web3 Movie Experience." I kinda liked the Gif experience, though.

The multimedia living NFT includes the movie in 4K, never-seen-before footage, behind-the-scenes stills, and even AR collectibles. Warner people, could you please give up the term "multimedia living NFT"? And "Web3 Movie Experience," too, while you're at it.

The "Premium Mystery Edition" pack ($30) includes 10,000 NFTs with Common, Uncommon, and Rare traits. The “Premiere Epic Edition" pack ($100) is made of 999 units offering a complete interactive navigation experience containing three location points for fans to explore. NFTs are minted on the Eluvio blockchain.

Buying a movie with a bonus pack, behind-the-scenes and unseen footage. I feel like it's 2001 again.
