The RTFKT Cryptokicks IRL smart sneaker line is finally here! With auto-lacing, enhanced lighting, haptic feedback, gesture control, walk detection, App connectivity, AI/ML algorithms, and wireless charging, you can flex your web3 shoes IRL. The new sneakers, revealed during Miami Art Week, combine Nike’s technology and RTFKT’s vision. There are four colorways, and these sneakers are the first Web3 sneaker on the market. You can even customize the lights and animations on your smart sneakers, and enjoy the comfortable pre-programmed fit provided by smart-lacing tech. With all of this in mind the NFT community was of course HYPED to get their hands on a pair. BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE IN THE US. The team stated that this was the case "due to advanced tech and product regulation." The community is now in uproar.
Holders made fair points and argued that the team had eight months to announce the shipping details. Yep - eight months. You can almost grow a full-term baby in that time, but they can't announce a crucial detail? Ok then. Instead, it was not made clear and as a result, secondary buyers continued to buy MNLTH 2. Furthermore, the team published a thread to clear the air. Still, the air is not clear in the slightest. The team didn't include the details regarding the regulatory shipping restrictions hence the reason community members questioned the legitimacy of the claim. Hopefully, RTFKT can solve the shipping issue. If not, I guess I'm moving to the US for some fancy sneakers.
Wally Sajimi Joins Azuki NFT As Head Of Partnerships
Azuki are reaching peak GOAT status among the NFT community. From their incredible art to the introduction of their Physical Backed Token and Golden Skateboard (proof-of-skate), Azuki is on a trajectory that cannot be stopped. Now, they have brought a new member to their team. Wally Sajimi. The Wally Sajimi of AWGE - A$AP Rocky's creative agency. Seriously, could Azuki get any cooler?
So, how is Wally Sajimi working with Azuki? Well, Wally will lead creative partnerships for the innovative web3 brand moving forward. In the role, Wally will creatively ideate on partnership opportunities and brand collaborations. Wally has an incredibly impressive past - a Forbes 30 under 30 entrepreneur, co-founder of 'Minti' (Solana-based social media minting app), and he has also worked at United Bank of Switzerland and Salesforce. Suddenly, my resume is looking extremely underwhelming.
Azuki has already had some incredible collabs, including being is the first ever NFT brand to be featured in Formula 1. With Wally Sajimi now heading up partnerships and collaborations, who knows what we can expect to see from Azuki?PBT tech. Golden skateboards. F1, and now Wally Sajimi. Excuse me while I go scream into the void about not getting allowlisted for Azuki.
