BLUR Thinks It Isn't Causing The NFT Crash

Blur is now the top suspect for the recent market crash as project prices drop across the NFT landscape.

However, some question if it's truly to blame. Blur surpassed OpenSea as the top Ethereum NFT trading platform but now faces criticism for the crash.

Critics argue that Blur's attractive trading model fueled rapid buying and selling. As trading volume declined, initial beneficiaries of the rewards model suffered losses.

Twitter crypto influencers expressed concerns that Blur spent millions to control NFT floor prices, negatively impacting investors.

Critics like Trevor Owens and Xero criticized Blur for incentivizing risky behavior, but founder Tieshun "Pacman" Roquerre defended the platform, citing fluctuating floor prices and external factors.

Letโ€™s all pretend creator royalties werenโ€™t affected in all of this.

Despite criticism, Blur launched its v2 protocol with new features and rewards, with no plans to change its model. The role of platforms like Blur in NFT market dynamics remains debated.

Twitter Just Got...Zucced?!

Meta's Threads, is here to challenge Elon Musk's troubled Twitter.

In just seven hours, Threads attracted 10 million users, including major influencers in the NFT community.ย

Is NFT Twitter dead?

Threads, a text-based conversation app, allows users to share 500-character posts with links, photos, and videos, similar to Twitter.

Integrated with Instagram, Threads aims to be a "Twitter killer" with a more positive atmosphere. Dissatisfied with Twitter's moderation policies and premium service, users are exploring alternatives.

This shift affects the NFT community, as influencers like Kmoney and Deadfellaz founder Betty migrate to Threads with their communities, potentially reducing NFT-related discussions on Twitter.

It underscores the evolving social media landscape and the need for NFT enthusiasts to adapt. Itโ€™s not like both founders could have like a cage match or something where the winner gets to keep their app, right?โ€ฆRight?ย
