Yuga Labs Has a New CEO: Daniel Alegre, Ex Blizzard COO!

Yuga Labs announced that they have appointed Blizzard’s former Chief Operating Officer as its new CEO, and the crowd went WILD!

Twitter was flooded with tweets welcoming Alegre and excited about what this means for the future of Yuga Labs.

LFG.

In a press release to the Yugaverse community, co-founder of BAYC Greg Solana, the co-founder of BAYC, stated that Yuga is competing with titans when it comes to the metaverse.

So who do you put on the front line when battling with titans? Daniel Alegre. This absolute gun has worked with some of the most successful games ever - including World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Diablo, and Candy Crush.

What a bloody legend.

This exciting announcement came at the perfect time. Community members have been itching to know what is next for Yuga, saying that new hires will be needed to propel Yuga into the stratosphere.

Well, the community's wish has been granted. Alegre can accelerate Yuga’s growth while putting blockchain gaming, metaverse development and community building at its forefront.

We can't wait to see what Yuga does next.

Twitter Detectives Investigate Trump NFT Team

Yes, we are talking about that collection yet again. But with all the drama surrounding it, can you blame us?

Just days after former US President Donald Trump dropped his NFT collection, more and more bizarre details are coming up. The collection sold out in less than a day, raking in over $4.5 million. But now crypto detectives are on the hunt.

And this is what they found...

According to these NFT Twitter sleuths, the project has dubious origins. (I mean, are you really that surprised?). Apparently, the team behind the NFT collection already has another failed project to their name. According to the Collect Trump Cards website, NFT INT, LLC created the NFTs. However, the company is “not owned, managed or controlled by Donald J. Trump.” And here’s the thing, no one really knows who actually owns this company.

Shady hey?

Well, a Discord Security Auditor has shed some light. This auditor, who goes by the name “Plum” on Twitter, alleged that Dylan and Bill Zanker, who created Sylvester Stallone’s PlanetSly NFT collection, are behind the Trump NFTs. They claimed that Dylan had contacted them in January 2022 for Discord security services for the PlanetSly project, but didn't take them up on this. The project in itself failed to fully launch, with the last Tweet from them being in June.

They also say that PlanetSly and Trump NFT use the same artist - Clark Mitchell. This doesn't sound too damning, until you realise that Plum alleges Trump and Bill Zanker are partners, having even co-written a 2009 book and hosted a charity together. But, soon after Trump launched his collection, the project teams allegedly “hid, changed, or scrubbed” their social media profiles.

So, from claims of the collection using copyrighted images to shady dealings between the creators, things are starting to smell a little fishy around here.

Do we detect a rugpull?
