Scott + Scott Consumer Rights Organization Investigates Yuga Labs

Yuga Labs is now under investigation by American consumer rights organization, Scott + Scott. This comes not too long after the SEC launched a probe into the Bored Ape Yacht Club creators in early October. With the Ryder Ripps and Pauly case still running too, it seems Yuga will have more court cases than they do merch drops per year. 

Well, they say any publicity is good publicity, right?

The firm is mainly checking whether Yuga has violated any federal securities laws. Plus it will also give Yuga’s officers, directors, promoters, and corporate insiders a shake-down to see if any of them might be involved.

So, have you suffered losses from any Yuga Labs assets? Realized or unrealized? You might be entitled to….a chat with attorney Sean Masson. No, this is not one of those terrible insurance adverts. 

Apparently, these lot actually want to hear your side of the story.

Be that as it may, the constant legal bombardment doesn’t seem to be doing Yuga much harm. While the Bored Ape Yacht Club floor price dipped to 50ETH just 2 weeks ago, it seems to have made the recovery of the century, sitting at a very sexy 69ETH right now. 

Well, for a bear market at least.

Beeple Will Not Drop NFTs On Solana: Metaplex Apologizes

How do you get consumers excited about your product? By announcing a high-level collaboration! This is exactly what happened earlier this month, with Metaplex and Render Network announcing that Beeple NFTs were coming to the Solana blockchain. However, we now know that this isn't true. Beeple is not yet coming to Solana. Oops. 

We've seen this move before. The Festival announces an iconic headliner, then later on announces that they are no longer performing after the tickets have sold out. Classic move. So Metaplex announces that Beeple is coming to Solana. Beeple tweets that he is not. Beeple corrected the tweet, saying “nothing was set or remotely agreed upon” among both parties. Solana NFT standard creators Metaplex CEO Stephen Hayes has had to issue an apology and backtrack on the announcement.  

What's next for Beeple and Solana? We will have to wait and see. Until then, don't believe everything you read on Twitter.
